i-Saksham means "I am capable". i-Saksham believe we can’t have a ‘Saksham’ society if 50% of the population, i.e. women are excluded. i-Saksham want to enable these young women and girls to speak up for their aspirations (Voice) and pursue their chosen life path (Choice). Hence, the vision: ‘Voice and Choice For Every Woman’ Bihar is the state with the youngest population of the country but ranks lowest across all human development indicators. All 17 SDGs! Urgent attention is needed. Esp. for its young women who experience extremely high level of vulnerability and exclusion. 88% of these young women are likely to drop out of higher education. 43% to get married before the age of 18 (Source: National Family Health Survey, 2020 for Bihar) and 96% to drop out of labor force i-Saksham want to change this - a story of 10 million young women in Bihar alone whose potential remain untapped. i-Saksham believe experiential leadership to undergo personal transformation, and change community mindsets is the best tool.Hence, i-Saksham mission is clear— they are cultivating local young women and girls into Leaders of Change. By 2030, i-Saksham aim to nurture a network of 10,000 such leaders through their 2 year Fellowship Program.A video Courtesy by The/Nudge Institute Thanks Subhashree Dutta atul satijaRavi Dhanuka Aditya Tyagi Ranita Uppal Shravan Jha Soumen Biswas Dr Rupal Tyagi Namrata Sharma Prince Singh Aman Pratap Singh Sanjay Gupta https://lnkd.in/g2vKwUHX

<<Blog 28/51>> Beyond the Battlefield: Bhagwan Ram's Legacy of Social InnovationIn the holy book Ramyana, Bhagwan Ram stands not only as a valiant warrior but also as a visionary leader committed to social innovation. His reign, Ram Rajya, wasn't just about prosperity; it was a testament to his dedication to the well-being of his people. In today’s blog let us discuss some of the ways Bhagwan Ram embodied social innovation:1. Championing inclusivity: Bhagwan Ram's kingdom embraced diversity and ensured justice for all, regardless of caste or background. This commitment to inclusivity set the stage for a harmonious society and paved the way for social progress.2.Focusing on the vulnerable: Bhagwan Ram understood the importance of empowering the marginalized. He addressed food insecurity through agricultural advancements, championed education for all, and provided healthcare for the underprivileged.3.Leading by example: Bhagwan Ram wasn't a king who simply issued decrees; he actively participated in building a better community. He volunteered in public works, shared resources with the less fortunate, and inspired others through his selfless actions.4.Embracing sustainable practices: Bhagwan Ram's reign promoted responsible environmental stewardship. He advocated for wildlife protection, forest economy and sustainable resource management, laying the foundation for long-term prosperity.5.Fostering innovation: Bhagwan Ram encouraged his people to seek solutions to common problems. He facilitated open dialogue, supported research and development, and created an environment where innovation could flourish. What can we Entrepreneurs learn from Bhagwan Ram's social innovation spirit? Here are my learnings and recommendations.1. Leadership matters: Leaders have a responsibility to use their influence to create positive change. By acting with empathy, integrity, and vision, we can inspire others to do the same.2.Social justice is key: Building a better future requires ensuring equity and opportunity for all. We must actively work to dismantle barriers and create a society where everyone can thrive.3.Sustainability is crucial: Our actions today have consequences for tomorrow. We must adopt responsible practices that protect the environment and ensure its resources are available for future generations.4.Innovation drives progress: By fostering creativity and problem-solving, we can find solutions to the challenges we face and build a brighter future for all.Let's draw inspiration from Bhagwan Ram's legacy and commit ourselves to social innovation. "Guthlee Ladoo" is not only entertains but also leaves a profound impact on its viewers. The film's central theme of inspiration is reinforced by the underlying message of the human spirit's indomitable nature. It prompts reflection on one's own struggles and the limitless potential that lies within.Guthlee Ladoo, directed by Ishrat R. Khan, was released in 2023. It is a deeply moving narrative that delves into the struggles and aspirations of the social deprived community. The film’s central theme revolves around the right to education and the societal barriers that impede it. It's very painful when we find extraordinary examples like, Our nation's largest corporate ADANI GROUP has filed opposition notice against tribal area rural farming Startup trademark named, "FARMSANCHAY" under class 30 & the women's has exhausted hard earned savings Rs 50,000 share capital to fight legal battle since 2018.it's more pathetic when constitution right failed to secure justice for such people. Article 46 "The State shall promote with special care the educational and economic interests of the weaker sections of the people, and, in particular, of the Scheduled Castes and the Sche- duled Tribes, and shall protect them from social injustice and all forms of exploitation."Let's support such "GUTHALI LADOO" to sustain life of social deprived community. #womenempowerment #socialjustice

https://rb.gy/nm9skp>>Am glad to share the link to the recording of the recent panel discussion at The Kerala Museum as part of the JANAL Talks. In this edition, two members of The Storyboard Collective are in a conversation with two veterans of women’s struggles and trade unions in Kerala Mercy Alexander and Nalini Nayak.>>It is important that stories of resistance and struggle be told in a way that makes them accessible and interesting for young people. In these times of growing affluence for sections of the population and the availability of a wide range of consumer products in India, there is a danger that the educated sections become coopted into the market economy. That is already happening with broad sections of this class not being in favour of trade union activity, tending to see this as a hindrance to foreign investment and hence on the job market. >>When stories of struggle and resistance disappear from public record and memory, they are replaced by other stories of individual enterprise, a brave new world of startups and entrepreneurship. The focus shifts to creating a startup ecosystem, and is diverted from pressing social needs like accessible healthcare, elder care, social security, and livelihoods. >>This is the frame within which this panel discussion must be viewed and heard. #resistance #struggleisreal #tradeunions #workersrights #democracyinaction #democracy #workingwomen Souvik Roy Shalini Warrier Sanjesh Kumar Indraneel Pandit, FRM Dr. Tejaswini Mulay (She/Her) Dr. Deepak Pandit Prof. Shyam Menon Vanita Nayak Mukherjee

The hero and the anti-hero follow separate moral codes. The code of the former is driven by idealism and the notion of the perfect man. The anti-hero does not play by the rules of the society.#antihero #deewar #baazigar #amitabh #gangsofwassepur #sharukhkhan #yashchoprahttps://rb.gy/3kara3
