Encouraging Word - I Will Praise You In This StormWhenever you are facing a storm in your life, how do you respond? Do you sit there and complain about it or get angry about it? Do you throw your hands up in disgust over the storm thinking it’s never going to end and then get mad at God and try to put the blame on Him for allowing you to be in the storm?Or, do lift up your hands and praise Him in the storm that He is right there with you and believe by faith that He will get you through it? Psalm 150:6 says, "Let everything that has breath praise the LORD."That means that no matter what you are going through, praise Him.Psalm 63:3-4 says, “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. Instead of complaining about every storm you find yourself in, lift up your hands and praise the Lord that He is with you in that storm.When you are in the middle of a storm, instead of being anxious and depressed about it, you can be at peace by putting your trust in God that He is right there is with you in it.Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” The bible doesn't say to be weak and give up in the storm. Instead, it says the opposite. Deuteronomy 31:6 says, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” God loves you and is always with you. When you're facing any kind of challenge, instead of complaining about the challenge, praise Him in the challenge. Tell God that you acknowledge Him and thank Him for what He is about to do in your situation. Never allow Satan to have a foothold. Pray this with me: God, I may not understand what is happening right now, but I praise you that you are right here with me. I praise you for getting me through this storm because you are always by my side. I lift my hands in reverence to you for you are great and greatly to be praised. You are my Lord and my Savior. You are the Solid Rock on which I stand. I will not be moved, nor will I be shaken. I praise you that You have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. So, I thank you and praise you that your hand is upon me, I praise You that You will not let me stumble or fall. I am victorious because I choose to let You fight my battles for me. I praise You that the chains of sickness and disease are broken off of me. I praise You because the chains of anxiety and depression are broken off of me. I praise you that addiction is broken off of me. I praise you that the joy of the Lord Is my strength. I praise you that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. So I declare today in Jesus name that I am free. I give you all the honor, glory and praise for what you have done, are doing, and will do in my life. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!

Encouraging Word - Speak Positive Thoughts Out Loud Daily - Part 1 I encourage you to read them out loud daily. If there are others in your home, have everyone read the positive thoughts out loud together. Read them as often as needed. You can even post them at work for your coworkers to see them. Even if you or someone else is having a bad day, just saying these thoughts out loud every day can turn the whole day around. If you know of someone, perhaps a family member, friend, coworker, who is going through a rough time like the loss of a job, an illness, or some other challenge, make a copy of these thoughts to give to them and encourage them to read them out loud daily. Not only will it bless them, but it will bless you as well, knowing that you contributed something positive to help them in their situation. If you have created a positive thoughts wall, show it to them and encourage them to create a positive thoughts wall of their own. Positive Thought Statements I am somebody! I am secure! I do matter! Encouraging Word - Give ThanksWhat are you thankful for in your life? In your prayer time, do you regularly thank God for the good things that He says about you or has done for you? It’s important that we give God all the credit for those things. When we just think things like “I’m so lucky” or “Because of what I’ve done, I have this big house or nice car” or some other thing, we give ourselves credit for something instead of giving God all the credit. We open the door for pride to creep in. The Bible talks a lot about pride and how it comes before a fall, so I encourage you to give credit where credit is due, and that is to God, who created each one of us. When we make a point of thanking God for what we have or what we have become, it’s not a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of humility. God loves it when we acknowledge Him for who we are or what we have. Even if you don’t believe you have anything to be thankful for, rather than focusing on the negative things happening in your life, thank God anyway in advance of the good things that He is going to bring into your life and believe by faith that those things will come.
